Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

During this week, information came to light that a male may have been in the Bridport area, breaching a Court Bail condition prohibiting from entering the County of Dorset. Officers had done some searches throughout the week, concluding in his arrest on Friday afternoon, 10th July.

There were also reports of an individual allegedly in possession of a bladed article, making verbal threats to harm others, in Lyme Regis on Friday 10th July.  An individual was located and detained.  No weapons or bladed articles were located following a search.  However, due to the concern for their welfare and the safety of others, they were subsequently detained under the Mental Health act and conveyed to Hospital for assessment and treatment.  We thank Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police for their assistance and support, as well as members of the public for contacting us with their concerns.
